B. Application of Design thinking/ Human centered design workshop journey (3 days+2days pre/post)
Our journey & approach:
Design thinking is a human-centered approach, to innovation or solving any problem in a human/user-centric way, by putting customers/people at the center. Human-centered design sits at the intersection of empathy and creativity.
The Design Thinking & Human-Centered Design immersive workshop journey, focuses on participants rediscovering their creative confidence to solve complex problems with innovation using a human-centered approach and design thinking.
With an accelerated solution-style approach as:
- Step 1: We discover, through C-suite interviews, what we need to achieve, potential business/customer challenges, and the dream team
- Step 2: We facilitate a 3-day design thinking workshop, coaching participants to create a basic solution using design thinking tools
- Step 3: We present the solutions to the C-suite & summarize the feedback and solution journey.
In this workshop, participants learn 25+ design thinking tools mapped to the 5 attributes of Design Thinking.
The workshop incorporates theater/alternative andragogy and accelerated creative learning tools like:
- Attribute Gallery
- Circle Time
- Stealth Carnival
- Solution Stalls
- Lego
- Bonfire etc.

Design thinking & Human centered design immersive workshop journey, is a blend of putting theory to practice, by building a basic prototype solution, for a business problem/ customer need, during the workshop itself. This workshop has 2 parts:
Workshop Structure:
Part A: Learning Goals
- Understand what is design thinking, human centered design
- Discover real life examples of application of design thinking
- Explore 5 attributes of design thinking
- Describe design thinking approach & process
- Interpret 25+ methods/tools which can be used for the process
- Recall types of prototypes of design thinking solutions Part B: Learning Application – Create Your Own Solution
- Identify a business challenge you would like to solve using design thinking.
- Demonstrate the solution journey based on processes and attributes.
- Apply at least 5 relevant methods/tools to the challenge.
- Build a simple prototype for the business challenge.
We aim for the learners to become competent, to further improvise your design thinking solution as you go along.
